Justificación: Sports
and physical activity are an essential part in people’s lives and especially
in teenagers’ education. In addition, it is a favourite subject and free time
activity for most of our students.
We will
try to make student familiar with the type of language required to describe
sports and will make them become aware of the benefits of physical exercise,
which is in the background of most of the material used in this unit.

Objetivos:
-To acquire the language necessary to describe
sports and to interact in sports: vocabulary and grammar exercises.
-
Learn to describe the rules of a sport through a tutorial video.
- Become
acquaintance with sports newspaper articles.
-
Production of a text reporting a football match or other type of competition.
-
Watch video about “the other side” of sport ( The paralympics)

Cada nivel debe hacer las
actividades del nivel inferior, si bien la forma de hacerlo puede ser
modificada en función de las necesidades de cada alumno y situación.

- Give the students a sheet of paper with vocabulary
without translation.
- In pair they complete as many meanings as
possible.
- Find the rest in the picture dictionary pages.
- Mark with different colours for the different
sports.

Grammar: action verbs and prepositions of movement.
Revision of modals of obligation.

- Provide them
with exercises and pictures about the topic.
- Remember the sentences by looking at the pictures
only and say them aloud.
- Read a sheet with sentences with must, mustn’t and have to.

Team Ever” and do the activities. Summarise the main ideas orally by asking
in class.
